Beer review: Schneider Weisse Tap 4 Mein Grünes (6.2% Germany: G. Schneider & Sohn)

The Schneider Weisse Tap 4 Mein Grünes is a wheat beer, more specifically an organic Hefeweizen. It is brewed by G. Schneider & Sohn, a medium-sized German brewery located in Kelheim, in southern Germany. The brewery was founded in 1872 and specializes in wheat beers.

Taste: The Schneider Weisse Tap 4 Mein Grünes is a medium-bodied beer with a wheat and yeast dominant taste. The beer has faint aromas of citrus, herbs and banana but mainly produces a wheaty, yeasty body and finishes with a medium-strength herbal hoppiness.

Overall, the Schneider Weisse Tap 4 Mein Grünes is a nice, full wheat beer for those who enjoy the rich taste typical to wheat beer: wheat, slightly bitter yeast and citrus. However, what the beer is lacking in my opinion is the fruity aroma that some wheat beers deliver. Still, a very well-accomplished wheat beer. Definitely worth trying! Extra points for being organic.
